We must be free, but to have real freedom, you must be wild and free yourself.” ― Bryant McGill
In this installment of Nudist Planet’s Bare Voices Fabi from Iran tells his story.
Bare Voices Fabi Iran
I live in Germany but I grew up in Iran, a country where traditions play a big role in social behaviors. So nudity is extremely forbidden for everyone. There you learn to be shy about your body parts and cover them, as the body is sexual and bad. In Germany it is completely different. FKK – free body culture – in Germany has a long history so I prefer not to repeat it here.
I think I am both a nudist and a naturist. I love to be nude and share it with others at home and outside. On the other hand, sometimes I feel that I need to spend some time nude in nature without any technology. But at the moment I am just a home nudist. I have not tried it in nature.
The first time I tried nudity was when I was just 10 years old. My parents were out and I was running nude in the garden. I still don’t have any idea why I did it and how it felt. But I remember a kind of freedom.
The first nude person I saw naked was my cousin. We were both in our puberty years and I was staying at his place for a week during the hot summer days. He was allowed to sleep nude as he was supposed to be a kid and it was kinda both strange and exciting for me.
So far, I have not been openly nudist till now. I want to try and I hope I will be able to come out as a nudist at least to my close friends. Previously I lived with non-nudists. Also, I am not a member of any nudist organization.
I will raise my kids as nudists. They need to learn to love their bodies and that nothing is shameful. Everything is natural and they should respect other bodies. I think nudism is more about loving the body, paying attention to health, being confident and being relaxed. Nudism is getting more tolerated nowadays all over the world. For me, as a nudist I am more confident about more body. At least in saunas or public showers I am not shy at all. When it’s cold, I turn up the heat, because I wanna be nude. And, when I have guest at home, normally I wear shorts or cover myself with a towel.
If someone asks my advice about trying nudism, I will say love your body, treat it well and love nudism. There is nothing shameful in nude bodies. Meeting other nudist for a beer inside is awesome. I love to go outdoors to get sunshine and with someone else it will be less boring! Nudist camping also allows a cool connection between nudists. I think I wanna be nude in forests, somewhere far from everything, having someone playing guitar and smoking weed 🙂
